1988 Jackson Hole "P Ford, whose yer redneck friend?" "Was that Ed Asner at the airport?" and my fav from Mad Brad "don't get hurt out here snowmobiling, we had to helicopter out some guy from the Steve Miller Band last week." Memorable moments; 2 times getting snow bound, Willy F wearning docksiders sockless in 12 feet of snow in Yellowstone. Danny Bare gett'in sucked into a blowhole (and he didn't even know her name.....)

The initial post - March 4, 2008
Well we just returned from what was our group's 23rd ( i think) annual ski trip, which began in 1987. Some background: for the most part, most participants of this group were all members of The Ohio State University chapter of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity during the late 1970's and early 1980's. We began the trip as a way for a group of us to get together every year even though many of us were not hard core skiers (come on, we're from Ohio for god's sake), but we thought it would be fun to give it a shot.
23 years later, the trip continues, albeit with fewer participants and a shorter time frame. What began as about 8-10 guys (and sometimes girls) going for at least a week and maybe an eighth day, was this year 4 guys for 5 days. We have been to most of the spots out west and once to Europe. Marriage, children, torn ligaments, and general aging are taking their toll. With each succeeding year, we realized that more of our stories were of past ski trips rather than collegiate stories or other shared experience anecdotes, so this year we decided we would begin memorializing it all so when the inevitiable day arrives and one of us is having his eulogy said, we could go reflect on this blog rather than a faded memory.
So here goes: I will invite all the core members to post and then obviously any other folks that were there can comment and add pictures if they like. The core members are the following:
Dan Bare- he hasn't missed one
Pat Ford - he has only missed a few (especially when he was first whipped, i mean married)
Chris Barber - he has only missed a few, but that was because he is the world's most important lawyer
Pat Barber - he has missed a few, especially when he was first married with infants and didn't have the balls to tell his wife he was going.
William French - he has missed a few. Guess why. Married (are you seeing a pattern here)
